Candidates take stand on Prevailing wage law: Dems. support it, Reps. support repeal.
Polwatchers has been doing a good job with their issue venting of the candidates for Kentucky Governor. This week's issue sought the candidates' opinions on where they stood on the prevailing wage law. ALL Democratic candidates support the law. ALL Republicans oppose it -- I think, as it was hard to decide whether Billy Harper wants to see the "archaic and out dated" law repealed (if you find out, please let me know). Gov. Fletcher opposes the "arbitrary and unfair" law that "is an artificial cost driver in state construction projects" and "[t]hat is why [he has] called for and support its repeal." Rep. Anne Northup wants to repeal the law also that "adds 11% more to public works projects", but she took the Gov. to task for not providing "effective leadership" to see its repeal.

Update: No responses were published for Steve Henry and Otis Hemsley, but it is assumed their responses would probably be the same as the other Democratic candidates'. I will update their info. if anything different shows up.
I'm beginning to see another pattern emerge in the Northup campaign: "I'm just like Governor Fletcher, except for what you don't like about him...whatever that is".
As I have been saying, Northup has no agenda and one three-word talking point... "Fletcher cant win, Fletcher cant win, Fletcher cant win..."
Her agenda has started to appear. Hopefully, we'll hear some more -- sooner rather than later.
