Our veterans deserve BETTER from us ...
... NOT the kind of nightmarish treatments here, here, and others, they received at Walter Reed Hospital, for which they were ordered to keep secret. So I am glad to see the responsible General go, and for this bill set to be heard by Congress, which was introduced by Sen. Barack Obama, to ensure that our veterans will NEVER have to be treated irresponsibly again.

Your damn right, Osi! How can we call ourselves a Christian nation and not take care of these people?
Regardless of party, it is a crime to treat our heroes like this.
YEP. Thanks for writing, Rick, in support of "those who fought so we may have -- and enjoy -- liberty".
UPDATE: The Secretary of the Army has been forced to resign, also, and President Bush will impanel a welcome bi-partisan group to investigate ALL Veteran's hospitals, not just Walter Reed. Nice going!
UPDATE #2: State Rep. John Yarmuth, (D3-KY) and his subcommittee, will hold hearings at Walter Reed hospital because "[w]e absolutely cannot tolerate this appalling level of care for the men and women who were injured fighting for our country, and I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure that these brave soldiers get the care they deserve, and that they get it now."
Good for him (and ALL of us).
