Liberal press accuse Newt Gingrich of hypocrisy. Are they not wrong?
Many in the mostly Liberal media have taken Newt Gingrich to task for admitting that he not only cheated on his previous wives, but that he was cheating on his then current wife while pursuing the Lewinsky affair impeachment of President Bill Clinton. But have they not got what some of them cast as Newt's zipper issue all wrong and is their chastisement of Gingrich not misplaced? As Newt Ginhrich correctly stated in his own defense: "The president of the United States [Bill Clinton] got in trouble for committing a felony in front of a sitting federal judge [and] deliberately committed perjury." You can listen to the interview here. In case if you didn't get it: Gingrich, while not a model of marital fidelity, never perjured himself unlike former President Bill Clinton.
