"Scooter" Libby's conviction adds to GOP's woes.

Yesterday's conviction of vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, on four felony counts of perjury, making false statements and obstruction of justice, in an alleged attempt to conceal his role in the leak of undercover CIA officer Valerie Plame's identity to the media, makes for continuing woes for the GOP -- think back to just before Jack Abrahmoff, whose unethical antics largely contributed to the "thumpin'" of the GOP at the hands of Democrats in the last election, to now "Scooter" Libby. Lessons from this? This goes to show that the "truth" will ALWAYS set you FREE, figuratively and literarily. If you doubt me, ask the guys (Richard Armittage, Bob Novak and others) who ACTUALLY did the "outing" of Valerie Plame. They won't be charged with ANYTHING and are "Scott FREE"! Another example? Mafiosos like Al Capone went to prison -- not for their Mafioso activities, but for lying to the government!! And so it goes.
