Senator Mitch McConnell appeared on video to give his accounts on the candidates running for election. Also JDD has a take on Mitch's re-election next year, concluding that Mitch is in the "formidable" category.

While we are on the subject of elections, here is endorsement checklist for Republicans from Freedom Heritage Forum and the Kentucky Right to Life (and the Fairness Alliance).

And the Beshear/Mongiardo ticket has announced that the Louisville news publication, Leo, has endorsed it. Leo also endorsed Billy Harper, but acknowledged it did so largely because the other Republican candidates refused their repeated requests for endorsement interviews.
