It was the bst event of the year. Everyone was behind the Governor. I loved it. I look forward to us being united to beat the most liberal candidate in the history of Kentucky. Talk soon.

Osi,

I do not think that the Republican party was unified at Saturday's rally, nor do I think you will see any unification from here to the election.

Fletcher eviscerated Northup by half-truths if not outright lies. (Is Northup truly against School Prayer? Truly pro-tax?) By doing this, and by his failure to fulfill his self-righteous claim to "clean-up" Frankfort, Fletcher has proven untrustworthy.

When I vote, my paramount concern is to elect someone trustworthy and competent. Fletcher may yet prove competent, but he cannot be considered trustworthy.

With the trust forever gone, I must turn to candidate, that while unpalatable with regards to conservatism, has not yet proven unethical. (A ringing, Beshear endorsement, I know) Until Beshear lies, or Fletcher convinces me of Beshear's incompetency, I must support the Democrat.

In other words, as a simple litmus, I ask: Would I want my kids to emulate candidate XX? In Fletcher's case, the answer is a resounding NO! Unfortunately, this is an intractable opinion for me and many other Kentuckians. Hence, there will not be party unity this election.

Steve Beshear, probably isn't the most liberal candidate ever for governor, but even if he is, so be it. At least he hasn't grossly and repeatedly violated our trust.

I am voting for Fletcher. Beshear did nothing when Gov.John Young Brown removed several hundred merit system employees and replaced them with his Democrat supporters and freinds. It is clear Beshear can not be trusted. It is also clear that Beshear is under the control of powerful, out-of-state gambling interests.
