Friends of Fred Thompson plan bus trip, Newsweek shows why they should "grin and bear it".
Fred Thompson will announce his candidacy on his site this Thursday, September 6th. On Saturday, September 15th, a caravan of buses is planned to provide rides from Indiana and Kentucky to Lawrenceburg, Tennessee (his hometown). If you are interested in participating in the bus ride and the day's activities, check back here for updates.
For your info, ALL polls currently have Fred running second closely behind Rudy Giuliani (and that's before his announcement, and Rudy is worried about him), and yesterday in Texas' Republican Party straw poll, he came in second to Rep. Duncan Hunter -- for whatever it's worth.
A new bio (sort of) is written of Fred by Newsweek. Fred, and his supporters, should grin and bear it, for it shows why Fred should run.
As former President Ronald Reagan once said when, like Fred Thompson after him, he was accused of being lazy: "It's true hard work never killed anybody, but I figure, why take the chance?"
