Al Cross, in his piece this morning, In final days, not much hope remains for Fletcher, makes a poignant observation regarding what the voters MUST be thinking about Ernie Fletcher, who got elected, vowing to "clean up the mess in Frankfort" and abolish "the good-old-boy system," then creating a system and a mess of his own, as they go to the polls on Tuesday: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me".
