Fuss about Ben Chandler's wife.
I may be missing something, and if so, please set me straight.
There appears to be a lot of fuss over the appointment of Ben Chandler's wife to be the executive director of the office of state grants at an annual salary of $72,250.
Some have questioned her qualifications for the job (though I have yet to see any report presented that will suggest otherwise) and others have questioned why she was hired in the midst of financial crisis.
But with no other evidence to suggest otherwise, is the fuss all about politics (and if it is, doesn't the Governor have a right to choose anyone he wants for the non merit position?), or is there some substance to all of this fuss?
My inquiring mind would like to know.
