New Polling Suggests "CESSPOOL" Indictments Are Imminent.

Read more from Beth Musgrave, or check out the excerpt below:

Several people in the Lexington area reported receiving phone calls last week asking their opinions of politically-influential road builder Leonard Lawson and former Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert. ...

The phone calls, which started last week, asked people's opinions about Lawson and Nighbert, those who received the calls said. Larry Mackey, an attorney for Lawson, said he could not comment on the poll. Howard Mann, an attorney for Nighbert, also declined comment.

Andrew Stephens, a Lexington criminal defense lawyer, said the poll was likely used by defense lawyers to gauge one of two things -- whether a potential jury pool was tainted or if defense lawyers could try their case in the press.

"If you think you need a change of venue, then you poll to see if the jury pool might have already developed an opinion," Stephens said. "Or sometimes you want to try your case in the press. ..It's not that much different than in a political campaign."

Editor's comment: You do NOT have to be Albert Einstein to figure out the Leonard Lawson's and/or Bill Nighbert's Attorney(s) is/are expecting federal indictments and are apparently looking for "reasons" to convince a Judge to move their trials to "FRIENDLIER areas, presumably in Eastern Kentucky!

I hope a judge sees right through the "gimmick"!!
