The Legislature should pass Senate Bill 179.
I have written previously about this Senate Bill 179-- the Abortion Consent Bill --, which would require face to face consultation (as opposed to phone contact) between a health care provider and a person seeking to terminate a pregnancy, and urged its passage. This Mark D. Guilfoyle Kentucky Voices article helps explain why.

The cowardly House Committee Chairman won't let his Committee consider it because of "more pressing business"! Perhaps he is afraid that it would pass on an up and down vote before the Committee and on the floor of the House!
Republicans can use a legislative maneuver to bring it to a House vote, if they can muster the courage and ability.
Why is Tom Burch so opposed to even bringing this up for discussion in committee while he is all for forcing Kentucky's girls to be vaccinated with the potentially harmful Gardasil vaccine is a mystery to me. I hope his constituents are paying attention to his antics and let him know with their votes when he runs for re-election.
Thanks Mrs. Hayes for being smarter than many. Maybe, you should run for public office. I sure would like to know how many folks in Frankfort, if any, received campaign contributions from Merck the drug pusher.
I found some answers. Click here to follow the Merck money of campaign contributions to politicians -- even here in Kentucky. One wonders where Merck's profit motive ends and good science begins!
