BREAKING NEWS: US Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales, FINALLY does the "Gonzo shuffle".

United States Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales, has resigned effective September 17th, thereby doing the "Gonzo shuffle" that I, and many sensible non partisan folks, have been advocating for so long.

Now I can retire the "Gonzo shuffle" label!

Alberto Gonzales has been another "lightning rod" that I am glad to see go -- the other one, Veep Dick Cheney -- is elected and there's probably NOTHING we can do about him.

What is his problem that makes me ask for him to do the "Gonzo shuffle"?

Well, it is simply this: The man may be a GREAT justice; he may even be a GREAT adviser for Bush, but when he made the PHYSICAL transition from Bush's Counsel to be UNITED STATES (not Bush's) Attorney General he FAILED to make the legal, functional and other CONSTITUTIONALLY NECESSARY and MANDATORY transitions too.

And do we even need to mention the BUNGLING of "Prosecutorgate", the PROPER and LEGAL firing of U. S. Attorneys, which TIED the White House and Alberto Gonzales in political knots?

My pick as a replacement? This man will do just fine. If he declines, then former Deputy Attorney General, Larry Thompson, may do just fine, too.

PLEASE NO Michael Chertoff.
