District of Columbia soon to get voting representation.

Washington D. C., our nation's capital has never had a representative in Congress who has voting rights. That is why it protests by issuing license plates that state: Taxation without representation. This is expected to change when the new Democratic Congress convenes. The new measure will also grant the state of Utah an additional house member, thereby bring the total number of House members to 439. This action, as reported by USATODAY, is welcome news for a people disenfranchised and denied representative democracy ever since the nation's capital relocated there from Philadelphia 200 or so years ago.
