Person(s) for the week: Irving Lewis "Scooter" Libby.
The central figure in the trial that has kept the country (at least those in the political know-how) expectant since last year, has produced our person for the week. Will he implicate his boss (Vice President Dick Cheney) or will he not(?), became the tantalizing political question. For a man who likely had nothing to do with the "outing" of CIA operative, Valerie Plame, in the first place to now be the ONLY one convicted in the matter (the Prosecutor has said he will NOT seek any more indictments), "Scooter" deserves recognition as this blog's person for the week. Now "Scooter" (perjury and obstruction of justice) will join folks like Mafioso Al Capone (tax evasion), Alger Hiss (perjury), and others who were convicted for "collateral" crimes that had nothing to do with the crimes which formed the initial (and original) government inquiry!

There have been talk about whether or not "Scooter" Libby should be pardoned. Here's a piece on the issue.
