Admiral Fallon has no experience in land operations and has no specific knowledge or experience in the Middle East. What would give him expertise to question Gen. Petraeus? Sounds to me like a Lt. Col. bucking for full bird Col., if the story referenced is true, and doesn't like to listen to an expert. A more relevant question would be why GWB elevated him to his position in Mar of 2007.
