Ted Olson out as AG pick, former federal Judge Michael Mukasey appears in -- for now.

The word is out that the Bush WH is floating the name of former federal Judge Michael Mukasey, in order to prevent another Harriet Miers, which suggests that former U. S. Solicitor General, Ted Olson is out of consideration after some Senate Democrats said "no way, Hosea" to President Bush.

Judge Muskasey is a New Yorker and a pick of both Rudy Giuliani (whom he advises) and Democratic New York Senator, Chuck Schumer. Here's another reason why Bush, trying his hardest NOT to pick a fight with the Democratically controlled Senate, will not like the Judge (Conservatives are already gearing to oppose him), but others most certainly will. As for me, I'm still rooting for former Deputy U. S. Attorney General, Larry Thompson.
